What is a dedicated offshore team, and how is it different from project-based outsourcing?

With a dedicated team you reserve engineers for an agreed period, and that team works only on your product. Project-based outsourcing buys a fixed deliverable instead. A dedicated team suits work where the requirements will keep evolving, because the team accumulates knowledge of your product rather than handing it back at the end of each contract.

Is the contract with a Japanese company or with the Nepal office?

You contract with D&S, Inc., a company registered in Tokyo. N.D.S. Venture in Kathmandu is our own development hub, not a third-party vendor, so there is one Japanese legal entity accountable for the work.

What language does the team work in?

Communication with you is handled in Japanese or English. Our Tokyo office coordinates requirements and specifications, so you are not translating documents for the engineering team yourself.

How large a team can we start with, and can it grow?

Engagements usually start small, with the engineers needed for the first phase, then scale as scope grows. Because the team is reserved rather than shared, growth is a matter of adding members to a team that already understands your product.

Who owns the code and the intellectual property?
